Severe Floods and Persistent Rain Across Central Europe

Central Europe is grappling with severe flooding due to persistent rains, affecting countries like Austria, Czechia, and Poland. In Bavaria, rising water levels in the Danube, Vils, and Isar rivers are expected, with heavy rains continuing until midweek.

Austria faces significant rainfall, particularly in Niederösterreich, leading to transportation disruptions in Vienna. Czechia reports its first flood-related death and anticipates further increases in water levels, with entire streets submerged.

Poland has declared a state of emergency due to extensive flooding, notably in Nysa, where hospital patients had to be evacuated. Germany braces for rising water levels in rivers like the Elbe, Neiße, and Oder, with authorities urging caution.

While Bavaria expects conditions to improve from Wednesday, the region remains vigilant.
