SpaceX Postpones Rocket Launch for Polaris Dawn Mission

SpaceX has once again delayed the rocket launch for the Polaris Dawn mission, led by billionaire Jared Isaacman. The mission aims to test long-duration spacesuits, conduct a spacewalk, test Starlink communication technology, and carry out 36 studies to improve human health.

The four-person crew, consisting of Isaacman, Kidd Poteet, Sarah Gillis, and Anna Menon, is expected to travel up to 1,400 kilometers from Earth. The delay was caused by unfavorable weather conditions and technical issues, including a helium leak.

SpaceX Vice President Kiko Dontchev and Elon Musk are working to resolve the issues and ensure crew safety. The mission also aims to achieve the largest distance from Earth since the Apollo missions and the first commercial spacewalk.

The first-stage booster will attempt a recovery landing on the droneship A Shortfall of Gravitas.
