Russia launched a deadly wave of missiles and drones, targeting Ukraine's energy infrastructure. The attacks resulted in casualties and significant damage, including the destruction of a hotel in Kryvyi Rih.

Ukraine's air defenses were overwhelmed, and the strikes disrupted power and train schedules. The US, UK, and Germany condemned the attacks.

In a separate incident, a journalist from Reuters was killed in a hotel strike. Ukrainian forces are attempting to break through the Russian border in the Belgorod region, leading to ongoing fighting.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief visited the Kursk nuclear power plant in Russia to assess the situation. The plant, located near the Russia-Ukraine border, has four reactor units.

Ukraine's president called for European air forces to assist with downing drones and missiles. The attacks on Ukraine's infrastructure and energy sector have caused significant damage and raised concerns about the safety of nuclear facilities in the region.

The situation remains tense, and Ukraine is calling for support from its allies to counter the Russian aggression.
