Federal Budget: Coalition Partners Clash over Approaches

Coalition partners in Germany's federal government are engaged in a heated debate over the budget for 2025. The leader of the Free Democratic Party (FDP), Christian Lindner, is facing criticism from the Social Democratic Party (SPD) and the Greens for his proposed measures to close the budget gap.

On the other hand, Alexander Graf Lambsdorff, a member of the FDP, defends Lindner's approach and criticizes what he calls the 'debt populism' of the SPD and Greens.
