Danish Royals' Inaugural Visit to Germany

King Frederik X. and Queen Mary of Denmark are set to embark on their inaugural visit to Germany.

Their first stop is Berlin, where they will be welcomed by Federal President Steinmeier and his wife. The royal couple will visit the Reichstag and take part in the 25th anniversary celebration of the Nordic Embassy complex.

This event will also see the participation of other Scandinavian leaders. The day will conclude with a dinner at Schloss Bellevue hosted by Steinmeier and his wife.

The following day, the royals will travel to Schleswig-Holstein to engage with the Danish minority, visiting cities like Kiel and Flensburg, and attending an exhibition opening. King Frederik ascended the throne earlier this year, succeeding his mother Margrethe, who visited Germany in 2021. This visit underscores the strong collaborative ties between Denmark and Germany in trade, green transformation, and security policy.
