Drones Shot Down in Kyiv as Russia Continues Attacks on Ukraine

Russia has once again attacked Ukraine with drones, with the majority being shot down. Debris from the drones fell near the parliament building in Kyiv, prompting calls for evacuation.

Russian artillery shelling in the Donetsk region resulted in the deaths of several people. Several NATO countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, and Spain, have pledged military aid and support to Ukraine.

Former Ukrainian ambassador Andriy Melnyk has called on Chancellor Scholz to mediate diplomatically. Italy's Prime Minister Meloni has assured President Zelenskyy of continued support and discussed a peace plan.

In addition, there have been reports of Russian drone violations in Romania and Latvia. Ukraine has warned Iran against missile deliveries, and Germany's Chancellor Scholz aims to accelerate peace negotiations with Russia.

The fighting in the eastern regions of Ukraine, particularly around Pokrovsk, continues to intensify, with heavy casualties reported on both sides.
