New Weapons for Ukraine - But Zelenskyy Doesn't Seem Satisfied

Zelenskyy is dissatisfied with the commitments of the allies at the Ramstein meeting. While Ukraine is receiving further military aid, it is not allowed to use weapons with a longer range against targets in Russia.

Instead, commitments were made for air defense weapons, training of Ukrainian pilots for F-16 fighter jets, a battery of Hawk missiles for air defense, and additional humanitarian aid for the damaged energy infrastructure. According to Austin, Ukraine has numerous possibilities to attack targets in Russia, for example with drones.

However, Russia has deployed certain aircraft that can use glide bombs in such a way that they are stationed outside the range of ATACMS missiles from the US.
