Ukraine War | Selenskyj radically reshapes government – significant changes ahead

Ukraine's President Selenskyj has undertaken a major reshuffle of his government, dismissing over half of his ministers, including Foreign Minister Kuleba. The aim of the reshuffle is to bring new energy and motivation to the government.

Kuleba is set to be replaced by his deputy Sybiga, who is known for his loyalty to the head of the presidential office, Andrij Jermak. The timing of the reshuffle is seen as risky as Ukraine is currently under pressure in the war.

However, Selenskyj plans to present his 'Victory Plan' in the USA, outlining Ukraine's strategy to force Russia to the negotiation table. While the Kremlin is monitoring the situation, it does not see any immediate impact on negotiations.

The reshuffle is part of a larger government overhaul, with approximately half of the ministerial positions being newly filled. However, critics argue that the reshuffle is merely cosmetic and a distraction from issues such as the energy supply problems caused by Russian attacks.

The discontent among the population with the government is growing.
