Netanjahu's Firm Stance on the Philadelphi Corridor and Accusations of War Crimes

Despite the US government's belief in an imminent ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, Netanjahu insists on controlling the Philadelphi Corridor. Israel has submitted a proposal to reduce its presence, with the ultimate goal of a complete withdrawal.

However, Hamas is demanding pressure on Netanjahu to comply with the agreements. Amnesty International accuses the Israeli army of war crimes, citing the systematic destruction of houses and agriculture in the Gaza Strip.

Additionally, hostage families are urging Netanjahu not to wear solidarity pins, as a murdered hostage appeared in a Hamas propaganda video. The Philadelphi Corridor issue is a point of contention, as Netanyahu's insistence on control is seen by some analysts as a pretext to prolong the war and maintain his grip on power.

The US government indicates that a deal for a ceasefire and the release of hostages is nearly complete.
