The Titanic's Railing Breaks Off: The Wreck Is Slowly Disintegrating

The wreck of the Titanic, which sank in the North Atlantic on its maiden voyage in 1912, lies at a depth of around 3,800 meters. Expeditions have uncovered numerous artifacts and documented the ongoing decay caused by microorganisms, rust, and ocean currents.

The bow of the ship has lost part of its railing, once a testament to its resilience. Over 1,500 of the more than 2,200 people on board died when the ship sank.

The restored finds are partially exhibited, including a bronze statue of the goddess Diana. Despite the unstoppable decay, researchers continue to document and preserve the remnants of the tragedy, recognizing the importance of capturing the past before it's too late.
