Challenges Faced by Young People with Disabilities

A recent study reveals that young individuals with disabilities, aged 14-27, exhibit significantly lower levels of satisfaction compared to their peers without disabilities. These individuals encounter higher rates of discrimination, struggle with social integration, forming friendships, and asserting self-determination.

The 'Inclusion Barometer Youth' survey conducted by Aktion Mensch and Ipsos highlights the disparities, with only 53% of those with disabilities reporting satisfaction, contrasting with 78% of those without disabilities.
