Poland Calls for Shooting Down Russian Drones in Ukraine

Image used under license from Shutterstock.com

Poland's Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski believes it is necessary to shoot down Russian drones and other flying objects approaching from Ukraine to protect Polish airspace. This is in contrast to NATO's official position, which is against a direct confrontation with Russian forces.

Sikorski argues that shooting down hostile flying objects would be a legitimate act of self-defense. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has praised the speed of his troops in occupying new territories in Ukraine, while Ukraine continues to defend itself against Russian missile and drone attacks.

The conflict has also sparked debates in Russia about the election successes of far-right parties in Germany. In response to the escalating situation, Ukraine has launched a surprise offensive in the Kursk region, capturing several towns and villages.

The war has led to casualties and damage to infrastructure, with both sides exchanging missile attacks. As the conflict continues, Ukraine is developing new weaponry, such as a long-range drone called 'Paljaynzja', to target Russian airfields.

The situation remains tense, with both sides escalating their military actions.
