Summer Heat Wave Hits Germany

Germany is experiencing a heat wave with temperatures reaching up to 35°C. Showers and thunderstorms are expected from Thursday night.

Cloudiness, low temperatures, and northwest winds are predicted for Friday. However, the weekend will see clearings, fog, and a temperature increase.

On Sunday, there will be a shower tendency, easterly winds, and low temperatures at night. The heat is expected to remain until the weekend, with high temperatures in the north and east of Bavaria.

Cities are offering cool places for people to seek relief. Many visitors are flocking to swimming pools and lakes before the end of summer vacation.

The heat wave is not limited to Bavaria, with temperatures reaching up to 35°C in Berlin, Brandenburg, Rheinland-Pfalz, Saarland, and Hessen. The German Weather Service warns of health risks and provides guidelines for staying safe during thunderstorms.

Despite some showers, the heat is expected to continue in Hessen, with temperatures reaching up to 34°C. The weekend will bring some relief with cooler temperatures and occasional showers and thunderstorms.

The weather in Essen will be hot on Wednesday and Thursday, with temperatures reaching up to 32°C and 28°C respectively, followed by a cool down and the possibility of showers and thunderstorms. Berlin and Brandenburg are also experiencing heat with temperatures up to 35°C, prompting an official heat warning.

The heat wave is also affecting Bayern, where temperatures are expected to reach up to 35°C, despite the approaching autumn. NRW is also experiencing hot temperatures, particularly in cities like Düsseldorf, Köln, and Mülheim an der Ruhr.

The weather will become more unstable with showers and thunderstorms from Friday onwards.
