Macron Rejects Left-Wing Government in France

French President Emmanuel Macron has rejected the formation of a government by the left-wing alliance Nouveau Front Populaire (NFP). The NFP emerged as the strongest party in the parliamentary elections, beating the far-right Rassemblement National (RN).

However, none of the three major parties obtained a majority. Macron, who had called for the elections, is now seeking to form a stable government with other parties.

He has met with leaders from various political factions, including Marine Le Pen from the RN. Macron argues that a government led by the NFP would face an immediate vote of no-confidence.
