Ukraine's Independence Day: Allies Pledge Assistance

On Ukraine's Independence Day, Western allies have pledged further military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine. Lithuania and the United States will provide new military packages, while President Zelenskyy presents a new drone missile.

The Ukrainian intelligence service plans to recapture Crimea and destroy the Kerch Bridge. Russian troops continue their attacks on Toretsk and Pokrovsk.

Polish President Andrzej Duda and Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė travel to Kyiv for the celebrations. Chancellor Olaf Scholz, US President Joe Biden, and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer also pledge further support to Ukraine.
