Hezbollah launches major offensive against Israel with rockets and drones

Hezbollah launched a large-scale attack on Israel, firing over 300 rockets and drones before declaring it over. The attack was in retaliation for the killing of their military commander and targeted northern Israel.

Israel responded with preventive strikes on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. The Israeli army reported that hundreds of rockets and drones were fired by Hezbollah, but many were intercepted.

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to protect the country. The attack caused no immediate reports of casualties or damage in Israel, but the government declared a 48-hour state of emergency.

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has escalated since the war in Gaza, and the pro-Iranian Houthi rebels in Yemen praised the attack. Air France and Lufthansa suspended flights to Tel Aviv and Beirut due to the escalation.
