Belarus, a close ally of Russia, has deployed significant forces near the Ukrainian border under the guise of military exercises, raising concerns in Ukraine. The Ukrainian government has warned Belarus not to make 'tragic mistakes' under pressure from Russia.

In response, Ukraine has reported its own military gains in the Russian border region of Kursk. The European Union has accused Belarus of providing territory for Russian troop build-up.

Meanwhile, a Russian missile strike on a hotel in Kramatorsk has injured several journalists. Ukraine demands that Belarus withdraw its troops, including tanks and artillery, from the border and assures that it will not take unfriendly actions.

The situation remains tense as Ukrainian forces continue to advance into Russia and Russia continues to target Ukrainian cities with airstrikes. The conflict has also resulted in casualties among journalists, including a British national working for Reuters.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called for international support for a 'free Ukraine' and discussed the possibility of a peace summit with India.
