The Israeli army has recovered the bodies of at least five men who were kidnapped in the Gaza Strip on October 7. US Secretary of State Blinken is traveling to Cairo for talks, where a new compromise proposal from the mediators US, Egypt and Qatar is to be discussed.

Hezbollah fired rockets at Israeli positions on the Golan Heights in response to an Israeli attack on weapons depots in the Bekaa Valley. Hamas rejects Blinken's proposal and instead demands an implementation mechanism for agreements already reached.

Blinken previously met in Israel with President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
