Epic Games Store: iPhone Users Can Play 'Fortnite' Again

Epic Games has launched its own app store on iOS and Android in the EU, allowing users to download games like Fortnite, Rocket League Sideswipe, and Fall Guys. This comes after a dispute with Apple and Google over fees, with the EU criticizing Apple's restrictions and imposing a 1.8 billion euro fine.

The Digital Markets Act aims to limit the market power of these platforms. Epic CEO Tim Sweeney welcomes the progress for developers and consumers through increased competition and choice.

While the new App Store can be installed on Android devices and iPhones, this option remains blocked by Apple outside of the EU. The move marks a significant challenge to Apple's App Store dominance.
