Trump and Musk: An interview full of controversy and technical glitches

Former US President Donald Trump was interviewed by Elon Musk on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter. The conversation, which lasted over two hours, was characterised by technical problems, which Musk attributed to a possible cyber attack. During the interview, Trump and Musk discussed various topics, including immigration, climate change and recent political developments.
Trump praised Musk's electric vehicles, but criticised the Democrats and Kamala Harris in particular. Musk, who previously supported Democratic causes, has since become critical of the party and pledged his support to Trump. Despite the length of the interview, forward-looking topics such as artificial intelligence were not addressed, which was seen as a missed opportunity by critics.
The interview was labelled by many as a "vanity project" as Musk used his platform to reinforce his political views. Although the event garnered millions of views, actual viewer engagement was lower. Trump's slurred speech and lisp led to ridicule on social media. Overall, the interview provided insight into Trump's views and allowed Musk to showcase his support for Trump
