Typhoon 'Gaemi' caused severe damage and multiple deaths in Taiwan and the Philippines. In Taiwan, at least four people died and 500 were injured as the storm hit with wind speeds of up to 190 km/h.

The storm flooded streets and caused landslides, leading to fatalities. In the Philippines, the typhoon intensified the monsoon rains, resulting in at least 20 deaths due to drowning, landslides, and falling trees.

The storm also caused an oil tanker to sink off Manila, creating the risk of a major oil spill. Typhoon 'Gaemi' is now moving towards China, where it is expected to bring heavy rain and flooding to the Fujian province.

The intensification of typhoons is believed to be linked to climate change, causing increased rainfall and stronger winds.
