AMD Delays Ryzen 9000 CPUs 'Out of Caution'

AMD has announced a slight delay in the release of its Ryzen 9000 desktop CPUs 'out of an abundance of caution'. The 16-core, 32-thread Ryzen 9 9950X will now launch on August 15th, along with the Ryzen 9 9900X, while the Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X will be released on August 8th.

In addition, AMD plans to launch the Ryzen AI 9 300 laptop chips, including the higher-end Ryzen AI 9 HX 375. Meanwhile, Intel is dealing with unstable 13th and 14th Gen desktop processors, including the Core i9-13900K and i9-14900K.

AMD's engineers are confident that the Ryzen 9000 CPUs won't face any further delays, as the company has already recalled the chips that required additional testing.
