The US has announced the closure of a temporary aid pier in the Gaza Strip after facing multiple challenges. The pier, which was constructed to deliver much-needed aid to the Palestinian territory, faced damage due to bad weather and was temporarily removed for repairs.

In light of these challenges, Israel plans to use the Ashdod port and Pier 28 as alternative routes for aid delivery.
